Hello everyone,

I received the message below from a friend.

Feel free to pass it on.

Thanks.

Thousands of people all over India and the world are joining the National Day of Fast on Jan 30th - Gandhiji's anniversary. From Kerala to Delhi and Bengal to Gujarat in Inda, and Baton Rouge to Boston in the US (see list of events/locations below), they are opposing the introduction of genetically modified (GM) Bt Brinjal into the Indian markets. Paradise Gardening

Very interesting essay by Joe Hollis here.

"Our world is being destroyed, in the final analysis, by an extremely misguided notion of what constitutes a successful human life. Are you an early adopter?

Could you be a Climate Pilot? It doesn't take much. Just go meatless for one day a week, then two, maybe three. No, you don't have to become vegetarian, just eat less meat. You'll be reducing greenhouse gas production considerably. New year, right time, new habit.

With help from Sweden, 4 Northern Virginia families are 'Climate Pilots'
