What is your motivation for joining this group?
I want to help people grow their own food locally, through community gardens, back-yard gardening, larger scale urban agriculture, container gardening, and indoor gardening. I'm also interested in helping people use their fresh (and organic!) produce to strengthen their nutrition and build healthier bodies, and I'm particularly interested in raw food. I've been eating raw food all my life and exclusively raw food since 2002.

Thanks, Steve, for the warm welcome. I too think that Korten's work is potentially revolutionary. I must admit that since his work is so wide ranging that I have a little difficult knowing exactly where to begin with his ideas. Seems to me that the first step is always about linking up with others that are interested in advancing the major structural changes to our society/economy that are required. I found out about ecolocity because a few people here in NOVA are at the very beginning stages of starting a resilience circle. Two of those individuals are apparently (at least somewhat) active with this organization. They suggested I check it out...so here I am. It looks like meetings for this group generally fall on Tuesday - which is the ONE day of the week that I can't. :( I look forward, though, to finding ways to contribute.
