This range is often referred to as a region’s “foodshed.” Thankfully, we here in the D.C.… Continue

New Will Bike for Change (or Pie!) post: Grey DC!

I have a new post up on my sustainable food and bicycling blog, Will Bike for Change (or Pie!).  It is on the DC Grey Farmers' Market, and why it's both Important and a whole lot of fun.

It's not black or white - it's Grey DC!

The most popular parties are those that seem the most difficult to get into. The line out the door, the person looking at…

Hi Shannon, glad you signed up. I'd wanted to send you the Kinsale Energy Descent Plan to look over. See if it's something you'd like to start working on to localize for our purpose. You can access it directly from the Forum.

Shannon, I wanted to send you the political info you requested yesterday, but I don't want to use these pages for that purpose. Please send me your personal e-mail and I will forward the info to you.

Shannon, did you see the Washington Times article on Tuesday regarding the DC school food program? Its publication might present a fresh opportunity to pressure the city for a real school/food/farm program or at least some steps in that direction. The piece is at http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jan/26/dc-school-lunch-firm-questioned . I'm happy to offer effort if a strategy is in place. Susan
