Petition for green jobs: people creating jobs for people

We are at a critical time for both the planet and for our people. We urgently need jobs and we also desperately need to reduce global warming. I have created a petition on move-on to increase production of renewable energy, create jobs and help the planet in the process. I am using the petition as a tool to propagate this message. If you agree with me please sign the petition. If enough people sign it move-on will take it up.Please click here:…See More

Hi Sankar, thanks for signing up. Feel free to customize your page, post questions, thoughts, articles, photos, videos, make friends, message privately, join or create groups. We look forward to your participation in anchoring our vision with your organizing skills and love of nature as we seek to live more sustainably and equitably. We plan to have a great deal of programs next year and your input will be welcome. Please share your ideas, energy and passion.

We meet WEEKLY due to the enormity of the challenges and the urgency needed to address the issues that face us - Tuesdays 7 pm at Emergence Community Arts Collective, 733 Euclid Street NW, WDC 20001. We've been following a schedule something like this:
1st week - Food & Farming
2nd week - Transition
3rd week - Film
4th week - Planning & Networking
5th week when there's one - Special guest

Due to the holidays this has been thrown off a bit. Our final meeting for the year will be on Tuesday Dec 23, 6 pm at The Potter's House to celebrate our time together and resolve to accomplish even more in the New Year.

Let's together create a brave new world.
