Creating a sustainable world without injustices. Videos!

I am in India right now. What has impressed me the most is the many ways Indians look. Not at all one standard look, so many combinations. Very similar to Africa in pace and people. The other thing is the domination of the brown and dark brown masses by the lighter skin Indians. Just like Latin America you only see the more european looking Indians in leading roles in the media and etc. Where I am at most Indians are medium brown to very dark skinned. Here are couple short videos that show what…See More

THE CONTINENT LEAST RESPONSIBLE FOR CLIMATE CHANGE WILL SUFFER THE MOST. VIDEO COVERAGE!

The continent least responsible for climate change and global warming will suffer the most from its effects. It was/are the stolen resources and people of Africa that helped build an industrialized western and european world. Although Africa  has never reaped the so called benefits of its contributions, Africa is now poised to be the main inheritor of a mess* it had little input in designing and deciding on. *(the western consumer/capitalist throw-away society and the pollution it generates to…See More

The sustainability movement must address injustices to have a sustainable world

There is no way to have a sustainable world unless the sustainable movement addresses systemic injustices. If this is not done it is the same old oppressive system only with a green face. It is a fact the people who suffer most from environmental injustice are the same that suffer from social, racial, food and economic injustice. The environment can not be isolated from the rest of humanity. Many in this movement do not want others to bring up this fact because it is unpleasant, anguishing and…See More

One Women's Odyssey Into The Urban Farming Movement

In search of black and Latino farmers in the sustainable food movement.I'mstuck on this concept of blending contrasts. It may have to do with being the only brown girl I know interested in farming (although this really shouldn't be a contrast at all); or maybe it has to do with going from D.C. political advocate to farmer-girl overnight. Either way, blending things that aren't expected to…See More
