- I have a 1/4 acre garden in my suburban neighborhood. I keep bees and chickens, and grow a wide variety of crops including perennial fruit crops. I have a B.S. in engineering and environmental science from the University of Virginia and currently do composting research at the Beltsville Ag Research Center.
