Bruce Monroe Community Garden is located at a DC public park at 3000 Georgia Avenue, N.W. (between Columbia Road and Irving Street). It consists of a series of raised beds that are divided in plots gardened by individuals or by a community of gardeners who share produce.
The D.C. Dept. of Parks and Recreation allows Ecolocity to operate the community garden at Bruce Monroe Park, which is governed by a board of community gardeners.
Plots are available to individuals for $30 per year. Community gardeners using shared plots may participate free of charge.
To sign up for a plot (beginning again in spring 2012):
1. Pay $30 through Paypal just using the email address ecolocitydc@gmail.com. If there's an option to add a note, put BMCG in the field.
2. Go to http://www.ecolocity.org and click on the Donate button. Designate BMCG again (but we'll know if the amount is $30).
3. Mail checks or money orders payable to Ecolocity (write For BMCG on the check).
