Information

Forest Gardening

This group supports the efforts of individuals, organizations, and other stakeholders to establish forest gardens of all sizes in the Metro area. Edible forest gardening is the art and science of putting plants together in woodland-like patterns that forge mutually beneficial relationships, creating a garden ecosystem that is more than the sum of its parts. You can grow fruits, nuts, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, other useful plants, and animals in a way that mimics natural ecosystems. You can create a beautiful, diverse, high-yield garden.

Hello folks,

My name is Jonathan and I will be speaking at George Mason University in a couple of weeks and wanted to invite you to come see my talk. If you do come, bring your forest gardening questions! See more on the events page:
