Event Description

You're invited to a free film pre-screening on Friday, Aug. 26 at 12:00 noon at the Goethe Institute.  The Fourth Revolution: Energy Autonomy is a convincing film about the potential and real examples world-wide for renewable energy.  RSVP to:robrobin@me.com if you can attend the pre-screening.

A world where energy will be produced by renewable, clean sources and accessible to everyone: a utopian idea or a dream with a concrete possibility of happening? And if it does happen, it would mean a fourth industrial revolution driven by self-sufficient energy (no longer coal or oil or atomic-powered) and would resolve problems of social and economic injustice throughout the world. A series of projects (like a building that can produce more energy than it consumes) set up in various different countries (Germany, Denmark, Mali, Bangladesh) demonstrate that a different future is possible.

The film will be screened again on Tuesday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m.

Both screenings will be held at the Goethe Institut.
