You are invited to participate in an online survey. This survey is the work of Neeraja Havaligi, a graduate student whose research focus is broadly in urban agriculture. This survey us designed to elicit information on the diverse crops grown in DC area. Among other outcomes of this research, a open source map will be created to to reflect the agrobiodiversity in urban areas. This will facilitate existing resources supporting diverse interest groups viz. urban farmers, consumers and city planners, by enhancing local knowledge on local agricultural diversity, emphasize on its relevance to conservation and efficient management of resources, help in designing and planning urban greenery, support urban policy decisions and provide avenues to network for share and trade of local seed, produce and other resources.
