"DC Coop Day: Building Community and Economic Alternatives"

Need a job? Want a home? Would you like to join with your neighbors to generate cheaper, safe energy? Come to "DC Coop Day: Building Community and Economic Alternatives"  and participate in sessions on

·     Job creation through cooperatives

·     Housing coops

·     History of coops in the DC area

·     Building a Coop Network in DC

·     Agricultural coops and the urban food system (with sessions for    food-growers and vendors of color)

·     Worker-owned cooperative businesses

      Energy coops

 The FREE conference, co-sponsored by Coop DC and the University of the District of Columbia’s Kirkman Center for the Study of Cooperatives, will take place Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), Building 41- A-03.
