Come one! Come all!
ECAC Gardeners will host a free Cold-Frame Workshop on February 27th, from 3 until 5 pm.
This workshop will provide the hands-on experience you'll want to turn a few old windows, some lumber and a pair of hinges into a mini-greenhouse for your early Spring crops such as peas, broccoli, collards, lettuce, etc. If you've never seen a cold-frame before, come by to witness a do-it-yourself project that will help to extend your season by a few weeks, with minimal maintenance, and a reasonable investment. (less if you can salvage windows and lumber!)
This workshop will be conducted mainly indoors, with a brief garden tour, and awareness that some folks are unable to spend too much time outdoors this time of year.
We will hold the workshop rain or shine, and in less than 4 feet of snow!
